About Maria

I’m a Buffalo-area Registered Dietitian, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and a Certified Health Coach.

My Background

I have more than 10 years of experience providing nutrition counseling and therapy in English and Spanish, specializing in weight management, chronic diseases, cardiometabolic disease, eating disorders, gastrointestinal issues and other nutrition-related issues. I am passionate about helping people learn about healthy eating to make unique, positive lifestyle changes.

My experiences have taken me to many different institutions, such as hospitals, Long Term Care facilities, clinics, and not-for-profit healthcare organizations. This exposure allowed me to serve a highly diverse pool of patients, including those afflicted with AIDS and Hepatitis C, the elderly, children, mental health patients, the Hispanic community, and an ethnically diverse population. In addition to my clinical practice, I have participated in numerous public events such as training, media events, public relations, nutrition classes, and group discussions which opened the doors of various organizations and helped me to become more deeply involved with different communities.

I attend conferences, seminars, and symposiums to learn about the latest in nutrition to use the best available evidence-based approaches to improve my patients’ outcomes.

As a dietitian working remotely, I utilize the convenience of Telehealth. By using this online platform, patients can conveniently schedule appointments and be guided to a lifestyle of sustainable health.
